The Orb of Life
All the sky was blue and the clouds serene.
Children play the day away.
running through the wheat of amber and gold.
Not a care in the world
Fear or forbode.
Flowers bloom and grass of green,
Oaks standby and watch.
In the silence of the play of life.
Of now and evermore.
The orb of life
The god of ra rise,
From the east and races west.
As done for eons and more,
Birds chitter and sing.
And raise generations to come.
Life is wonderful to see.
Behold ho god of mine.
Your gift to me.
To see life's story unfold,
You humble me as I grow old,
When laid to rest,
And return to dust,
This work of words, my doing,
I give to you.
For in poems soul does sleep,
Awaken by my love reading.
And memories and joys,
of the man who loves her,
In all things she does,
At the bottom of the page.
I LOVE YOU
